Children who come dressed in period costume will get a small prize!!! What period? Virtually any period as we now know Whirlow has seen human activity from the early Stone age hunter gatherers, through the Bronze and Iron Ages, the Roman occupation to the Tudor and Victorian era - they have all lived here at Whirlow!!!! Kids, try your hand at some archaeology and see if you can find some artefacts!! It may just be your lucky day! To make your visit complete there will the Whirlow Farm Shop and Cafe will be open and plentiful ice-creams.... after all the Romans are supposed to have invented ice-cream!
